I am very excited to announce the elections for your CSULA AAAE Officers for the 2012-2013 academic year are now in full swing.

VOTING IS OPEN FROM 3PM TODAY TO 11:59:59PM FRIDAY JUNE 9TH

On this blog page, you will see the list of candidates and the positions they are running for. Here is the official list:

I would like to wish all the candidates good luck and for all of you, please do read carefully through the candidate statements. The officers chosen in this election will be serving our chapter and program when it comes to affairs relating to AAAE and are in some capacity, the face of our program.

SECRETARY JEFFERY FLORES

I am interested in running for the secretary position for the AAAE. My name is Jeffery Flores majoring in aviation and a minor in geography. I would become a senior for next school year and I predict that I would graduate next summer or fall. I currently have monday's,tuesday's, and wednesday's off but can request days off from work in order to attend any event the program plans. I want to be more involve with the program and I still need to sign up for the official membership. I believe I can perform the task required by a secretary as well any additional tasks. VICE PRESIDENT WELTON TRANG

My name is Welton Trang, I am currently a Senior and seeking your vote for Vice President of California State University of Los Angeles. I am a person who absolutely loves airplanes, the airport environment, and very passionate about the aviation industry. I began my aviation goal in high school where I spent my time as the number two within my Air Force Junior Reserve Officer. After High School, I attended Mount San Antonio Community College where I enrolled in the FAA certified CTI Program and received my degree in Aviation Science. At the moment I am a AAAE Academic Member,AAAE Academic Relation Committee member, SWAAAE Student Member, and SWAAAE Conference Committee member.

As Vice President I will continue to promote our organization and program. I will help open doors to you. 

SECRETARY CYRUS MCVEY

I have worked or studied in aviation industry in some capacity since 1995. I am enthusiastic about the airline industry and aviation in general.  I recently graduated from Long Beach City College with my Associate of Science degree in Aviation Maintenance.  I went on to receive my F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant certificate.  I currently volunteer at the Long Beach Airport providing historical tours and assisting with special events.   I am proud to be a member of the AAAE at CalStateLA as I further my education in the Aviation Administration Program.  I am committed to the aviation industry and am pleased to be a part of this great organization. 

TREASURER JOHN CHANG

JOHN CHANG FOR TREASURER

I have graduated from Mt. San Antonio College in 2011 with an Associates Degree in Aviation Science.  I have recently transferred to CSULA to further my education in aviation administration. My projected graduation date will be fall of 2013 with a bachelors of science.  I feel that my interest in academic extra-curricular activities makes me a qualified candidate for Treasurer of the student chapter.  My strong character, unwavering moral compass and fervor for the student body will be well utilized if chosen for this position.
